Hi, my name is Colleen Pollard, and I am a mother of two, an author, a film maker, a cook, food consultant, a forest walker, a gardener and a lover of Fiesta Ware, oil cloth, color and most things beautiful and vintage.
I love cooking and creating delicious recipes with healthy ingredients that add extra nutritional value. For decades I have been feeding, educating and spreading my understanding of specialty foods. Cooking for people with food allergies and food sensitivities is a thing!
My hope is to share useful information about my different styles of cooking, especially food allergy and food sensitivity cooking. I have been cooking gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free for decades in addition to more traditional foods. I have consulted at restaurants on vegan food, and gluten free etc. I also am a big fan of culturing food.
I also co-wrote a cookbook two decades ago when my son was a baby that is still relevant. the irony is after finishing the book I ended up with a daughter that had food allergies. so, the experience of writing the book and understanding gluten free flours etc. became totally relevant to me.
